Are You Free From Fear and Anxiety?

In the past, I was really lost … now I’m really found! But part of my problem was that I was in a place of no peace. I had drug addiction for 22 years … anger and hatred … I was an atheist — I had no idea how to get real peace.

Peace has been given to every single believer! He has given us perfect peace, unlike the world!

Isaiah 26:3-4 says, “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock” (NASB).

Jesus said that the peace He gives to us is not like how the world gives us peace. You can’t get true peace from the world. It’s not about how much money or stuff you have … none of that stuff gives you peace. As a matter of fact, the more stuff you have, the more problems you have. It’s like a treadmill that you just run on, and it never ends. That’s not how Christianity works!

Jesus says, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30 NASB).

Soul rest is everything. If you’re anxious, your soul is not at rest. Jesus said it over and over again … Be anxious for nothing! When I look into the Word, it says the truth of who God says I am! Life is not your problem … your mind thinking like the devil is your problem! The Bible says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

If we want to get free from fear and anxiety, we must use the weapon of the word to take that anxious thought captive with Gods word. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. It is so important to have the Holy Spirit breathe on the truth that sets us free.

2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (NASB).

It’s all about how you see — how you see and take thoughts captive determines how you see yourself when you look in a mirror. I challenge you to dig into the Word this week … you need to see what God says about you because you’re a son or a daughter of God!

I love you guys!
