INSTRUCTORS

Destiny began dancing at the age of two in York, Pennsylvania. She attended Light of Life performing arts in her later years and trained in ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, modern, tap, jazz & hip hop. In 2014 she was selected to attend Russian Ballet school of Orlando’s summer intensive where she trained in Pointe and Ballet and performed in Don Quixote. After graduating high school, Destiny moved to Texas and auditioned for Ingredients professional dance company where she is going on her fourth season with them and has been given the opportunity to travel with a nationally recognized dance convention and perform. Destiny’s passion for teaching started at 16 with her first teaching opportunity and has continued to grow ever since. She loves to teach dance, not just the technical aspects of it, but the freedom and the healing that comes from it when dancers see that it is worship.

FAQs

Where are classes located?

We are located on Lifestyle Christianity’s campus.

7200 Denton Highway
Watauga, TX 76148

Is this included in LCU tuition?

No, our dance classes are separate from LCU and have separate tuition fees. However, we do offer an elective program with LCU you may audition for. In which case, the cost of your dance classes would be added to your LCU tuition.

Is this for LCU students only?

No, these classes are open to the public. However, we do encourage our LCU students to take classes as well!

I’m attending LCU for one semester but would still like to attend. Can I cancel my tuition when I leave?

Yes! You would still pay the registration fee when signing up for your classes. After you register and receive your confirmation email you can send us an email and let us know the date you will be leaving. We will make sure your tuition stops the month you request.

What is Ignite?

We believe that God gave of us the gift of dance and that is also a form of worship. The Ignite class is a class specifically focused on dance in the form of worship and led by the Holy Spirit. For this class you don’t need a dance background but it will help you.

Do you offer classes for younger dancers?

Our classes are for dancers ages 2 and up.

I’m not sure I put myself in the right level can you help me?

When deciding your classes pick the one that you feel you will be more comfortable in. During the first two weeks a student is with us we will evaluate their level and notify them or their parents to let them know if we feel they need to be in a different level.

Why are some classes offered twice a week?

We offer these classes twice a week for two reasons. Some students can’t commit to a certain day of the week or only want to commit to one. The second reason is for our dancers who want to further their technique and want more training. Each class will be different. For example, a Tuesday int/adv contemporary class will not consist of the same teaching as a Thursday class so attending both will help a dancer advance in their level.

Is each week of classes going to be different?

Yes. Every week students will learn new dance fundamentals, combos, etc. while continuing to refine technique previously taught.

Is there a deadline to sign up?

No, we are always open to new students however, space is limited. We do have deadlines for joining in on our performances, but joining our classes is always open! We recommend dancers begin with us in the fall but if you’re coming later in the year you will still be able to sign up and jump right into classes.

When do classes start?

We offer classes year-round so you can enter at any time throughout the year.

Do I have to pay monthly tuition or can I just drop in on one class?

If you want to take classes on a monthly basis the option to pay tuition will be cheaper. If you are visiting for a day or only want to take two classes total in a month the drop-in rate will be a cheaper option for you.
